Rodney Cook, Group Chief Executive Officer

Rodney Cook was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Just Retirement (Holdings) Limited in July 2010. He was Chief Executive Officer of Just Retirement Group plc from August 2013, becoming Group Chief Executive Officer of JRP Group plc from April 2016.

Previously, Rodney was Managing Director, Life and Pensions at Liverpool Victoria (LV=). Rodney, a qualified actuary and an FCA and PRA Approved Person, has 38 years’ experience in financial services, having led businesses in both the United Kingdom and Australasia. He commenced his career with AMP, which culminated in his appointment as Managing Director of Pearl in 1999. This was followed by time at Zurich Financial Services as Managing Director of Sterling Assurance, Eagle Star Life and as Zurich Financial Services Customer Solutions Director, before joining Prudential as Prulab Director.

Rodney is a member of the Market Disclosure Committee.

David Richardson, Deputy Group Chief Executive & MD UK Corporate Business

David Richardson was appointed Deputy CEO of JRP Group plc in April 2016. He joined Partnership in February 2013 as Chief Financial Officer prior to Partnership’s IPO in June 2013. David is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a CFA Charter holder.

He was previously Group Chief Actuary of the UK’s largest closed life assurance fund consolidator, Phoenix Group, where he was responsible for restructuring the group’s balance sheet and overall capital management. Prior to this, David worked in a number of senior roles at Swiss Re, across both its Admin Re and traditional reinsurance businesses. Those roles included Chief Actuary of its Life and Health business, Head of Products for UK and South Africa and Global Head of its Longevity Pricing teams. David commenced his career at the actuarial consultancy Tillinghast.

David is a member of the Market Disclosure Committee.

Simon Thomas, Group Chief Financial Officer

Simon Thomas was appointed as Group Finance Director of Just Retirement (Holdings) Limited in July 2006. He was Group Finance Director of Just Retirement Group plc from August 2013, becoming Group Chief Financial Officer of JRP Group plc in April 2016.

Previously, Simon was Finance and Customer Services Director at Canada Life Limited, the UK subsidiary of Great West Life. Prior to this, Simon was Head of Finance at HECM Limited (formerly Equitable Life) and spent ten years at Nationwide Building Society, latterly as Group Financial Controller. Simon has over 15 years’ experience in the UK life assurance industry, is a Chartered Accountant and an FCA and PRA Approved Person.

Andrew Chamberlain, Group Director and Chief Actuary

Andrew Chamberlain joined JRP Group in April 2016. He was initially appointed as Group Director and Chief Actuary of Partnership Life Assurance Company Limited (PLACL), and subsequently appointed as Chief Actuary of Just Retirement Limited (JRL) in October 2016.

Andrew joined Partnership in August 2010, though he had already been the Actuarial Function Holder for over two years whilst working for Towers Watson, the global consulting firm. Andrew was Chief Actuary and was also appointed as Interim Chief Risk Officer in June 2015.

Andrew had joined Towers Watson’s predecessor firm Watson Wyatt as a partner in 2000 and had led the regulatory and tax teams in the Insurance Practice. Andrew has previously worked for Hill Samuel Life Assurance, latterly as Director and Deputy Actuary, until 1990, and then spent four years as Chief Actuary and Director for Aetna UK before joining the Government Actuarial Department in 1994 to advise the life assurance regulators, and was Chief Actuary from 1996. He is also a Deputy Chairman of the Life Board of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

David Cooper, Group Marketing and Distribution Director

David Cooper was appointed Group Marketing and Distribution Director of JRP Group in April 2016.

David has over 30 years’ experience working in financial services. He has operated in a number of sectors including retail banking, general insurance, personal credit, actuarial consulting and for the past decade, the retirement industry. He has worked for a variety of large organisations including GE Capital, Centrica plc and Bradford & Bingley as well as much smaller growth businesses such as the founder of enhanced annuities, Stalwart Assurance. He joined Just Retirement in 2006.

He is a Non-Executive Director of Origo Services Limited, the software standards and services supplier.

Alex Duncan, Group Chief Risk Officer

Alex Duncan was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer of JRP Group in April 2016.

Alex joined Just Retirement Group plc in September 2012 as Group Chief Risk Officer. He is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry covering many disciplines, including reinsurance, consulting, banking and industry. Prior to joining Just Retirement, Alex spent eight years at Old Mutual where he held a number of positions, many involving mergers and acquisitions, and was most latterly Director of Finance-Capital, where he was responsible for capital management and treasury.

Jane Kennedy, Group Chief Operating Officer

Jane Kennedy was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of JRP Group in April 2016.

Previously, Jane was Chief Operating Officer at Partnership and joined in 2006 from Barclays. She has many years’ experience leading high performing best in class operational divisions across a number of financial services’ companies. Jane’s experience spans a wide range of product areas including General Insurance and Investments at SAGA and SAGA Investment Direct, Life and Pensions at Colonial Life and Scottish Widows and mortgage operations at Global Home Loans in the UK and offshore.

Steve Kyle, Group Regulation and Audit Director

Steve Kyle was appointed Group Regulation and Audit Director of JRP Group in April 2016.

Along with five other Directors, Steve founded Just Retirement in 2004 and was appointed as Group Regulatory & Audit Director in January 2010, where he led Just Retirement’s regulatory, policy and assurance strategy. Steve has an MBA and over 30 years’ life and pensions experience in the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Just Retirement, Steve held senior roles at Commercial Union, Aviva and Britannic Retirement Solutions. He is a director of the Equity Release Council and the Secretary General of the European Pensions & Property Asset Release Group, an organisation established to seek to foster dialogue between industry, EU institutions and governments on innovative pensions and property asset release solutions.

Hugh McKee, Managing Director, UK Retail Business

Hugh McKee was appointed Managing Director, UK Retail Business of JRP Group in April 2016.

Before joining Just Retirement Group plc in 2014 as Managing Director of Just Retirement Limited, Hugh was previously at Royal London where his past roles included Managing Director of Scottish Provident, Managing Director of Caledonian Life and Chief Executive Officer of the Intermediary Division (encompassing Scottish Life, Scottish Provident, Bright Grey and Caledonian Life). He had transferred with the Scottish Provident business to Royal London from Resolution, having joined them from Prudential as head of UK new business.

An honours graduate of the University of Glasgow in mathematics and statistics, Hugh has been a qualified actuary for more than 20 years having trained with Scottish Amicable. For the past five years Hugh has been a Non-Executive Board member of the UK’s last remaining trustee savings bank, the Airdrie Savings Bank, acting as their Senior Independent Non-Executive Board member for the past three years.

Giles Offen, Group Chief Digital Information Officer

Giles Offen was appointed Group Chief Digital Information Officer of JRP Group in April 2016.

Prior to this, he was Chief Technology Officer at Partnership which he joined in January 2014 to transform the companies IT capability and change programmes. Giles has over 18 years of diverse global experience which includes working at companies such as Reed Elsevier, Lexis Nexis and Advanced Payment Solutions, including delivery of an eCommerce shared service that launched 21 global sites in multiple languages and currencies on a single platform.

Paul Turner, Managing Director - Retirement Lending, International and Group Development

Paul Turner was appointed MD, Retirement Lending, International and Group Development of JRP Group in April 2016.

Paul leads the mortgage business line, business development and the Group’s international division of USA and South Africa. He joined Just Retirement Group plc in August 2014. Prior to Just Retirement, he held various senior international roles at Swiss Re including Director in Swiss Re Globals Division, based in Hong Kong, Principal Officer of Swiss Re Singapore branch, Head of Life & Health, South East Asia and Chief Underwriter, Asia Pacific. He has over 20 years of insurance industry experience in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
